For me, Pomona College has been a perfect mixture of competitive athletics, interesting classes, and awesome people. As a baseball player in a collegiate athletic program, I value being on a competitive team that works hard and plays to win. However, being a student at an academically challenging school, I also value having time to learn and grow as a student. At Pomona, I have had the amazing opportunity to play a sport that I love while at the same time having the opportunity to learn from incredibly smart professors among incredibly smart students. I wouldn’t say that school is a breeze, or that playing a sport in college is easy, but the experience is definitely worth it. I have met some of the nicest, smartest, coolest people I know during my first year at Pomona, and the best part is that I still have three years left.
